2. The reasons of choosing the unit 5
English is a language that is used most widely in the world. To contribute and to participate in the main steam of the world, we need to communicate in English as a part of the globe. By using and understanding English efficiently we can understand the foreign culture accurately and introduce our culture to the others. We can naturally communicate about ordinary subjects and topics with someone else in the world, receiving and applying the various information. Especially, We can enlarge our point of views on the world and learn how to cooperate and compete with other counterparts from the other hemisphere.
Therefore, this unit shows American lifestyles in school, comparing with Korean lifestyles. We will learn how to make questions and respond to the questions. Also, we are going to learn American culture through English and useful expressions through the dialogues. When we meet Americans or the other foreigners, we can communicate with them, without any hesitation or embarrassment. Through real practices, we will understand their language and life, furthermore we can be a good friend with everybody all around the world.
