In the Hemagglutination (HA) assay, we conducted 2-fold dilution of influenza virus in PBS from C1-C11, except for C12 which is the negative control group. Viewing the results of the experiment, we can see small dots at the bottom of the well from C7 to C11. This means there was a non-agglutinated reaction, as the RBCs are settle forming a tight button. The reason for such cause is because there is not enough influenza virus that can cause a linkage and clump with the RBCs.
