.비뇨기계

가.배뇨의 정의
배뇨란 신장에서 생성된 오줌[尿]이 수뇨관을 거쳐 방광에 모여 요도를 통해 배설되는 일을 말한다. 상당량의 오줌이 방광에 괴면 척수의 요 ·천수 내에 있는 배뇨반사중추에 전해지고, 다시 대뇌의 상위 중추에도 전달되므로 어느 정도 배뇨를 조절할 수 있다. 보통 정상 배뇨횟수는 기온, 섭취음료에 따라 다르지만 성인은 10회 이내이며 남자는 1,000∼1,500 ml이고 여자는 800∼1,200 ml이다. 배뇨를 관장하는 비뇨기계는 신장, 요관, 방광, 요도로 구성된다. 신장에서 생성된 소변이 요관을 따라 방광에 저장되고 일정한 양의 소변이 방광에 모이면 요도를 통하여 배설된다.

나. 해부
비뇨기계를 구성하는 기관에는 신장, 요관, 방광 및 요도가 있다.

1) 신장
신장은 필요한 물질은 재흡수하고 불필요한 물질은 걸러내어 소변을 만드는 강낭콩 모양의 기관이다. 신장은 길이 10~14cm, 폭 5~6cm, 두께 2.5~3cm, 무게 약 120~190g의 적갈색 강낭콩 모양의 기관으로 남성의 신장이 여성보다 약간 크다. 신장의 표면은 피막으로 싸여 있고 주위에 지방이 잘 발달되어 있다. 신장은 주위의 지방과 신장의 혈관에 의해 고정되어 있으나 숨을 들이 쉴 때나 일어날 때면 4~5cm 정도 위치가 내려가기도 한다. 신장은 아래쪽 복막안(복막강)의 오른쪽과 왼쪽에 하나씩 위치한다. 등뼈(흉추) 11번에서 허리뼈(요추) 3번 사이에 위치하는데 오른쪽 신장은 간 바로 아래에 위치하고 왼쪽은 가로막(횡격막) 아래 지라(비장) 근처에 자리한다. 간의 위치 때문에 오른쪽 신장은 왼쪽 신장에 비해 아래쪽에 위치한다.
