본문내용
1. INTRODUCTION
The Dynamic Compaction (DC) technique is used to densify the weak ground. The technique was
invented and developed by Mr. Louis MENARD.
This technique requires the use of pounders weighing 15 to 40 tons released in free fall from a height of
10 to 40 meters. The arrangement of the impact points and the other parameters of the treatment
(energies, phasing, rest periods) depend on the characteristics of the soil to be treated and on the
results of the trial zone.
2. PURPOSE
The purpose of such procedure is to provide details of Dynamic Compaction (DC), as a mean of
implementing this technique in a systematic manner and that works are inspected and documented.
3. PROJECT REFERENCES DOCUMENTS & STANDARDS
The present Method Statement is based on the following Reference Documents and Standards:
[1] Letter of Intent for Soil Improvement Works, dated 11th March 2013.
[2] Draft Geotechnical Report. Soil Investigation Report for [PROJECT NAME]Phase I at LOCATION,
