Causes of the Vietnam War
Background
Vietnam was ruled by France, but in 1940, France was defeated and Japan took control of the main resources of Vietnam.
The Anti-Japanese resistance emerged under the leadership of Communist Ho Chi Minh, a great individual who studied communism in the USSR, he declared Vietnamese independence in 1945.
There is a war in 1956 between France and Vietnam.
After 1949, when the Communists took over China, USA feared that it would dominate all of south-east Asia.
