Every day, people share the world through various media platforms. “We”, unconsciously, live our lives with awareness of society’s news and this is why people can endlessly communicate regardless the individuality of each. Therefore, journalism plays a significant role to connect the society. Once the importance of journalism stamped on public’s mind, journalists started to expand their works in various ways, while “yellow journalism” increased public’s attention. Yellow journalism is a type of journalism that reflects sensationalism, shocking scandals and exaggeration of news events to attract readers (TheFreeDictionary.com. 2011).There are different contents dealt in yellow journalism, for example, struggles among different nations; scandals of celebrities and corruption of governments. Furthermore, this paper is going to be a synthesis of researches on yellow journalism of food safety from past to present and how it has stimulated human psychology.
