Yes to Capital Punishment in Korea
In South Korea, capital punishment is legal but has not been used for more than ten years. Therefore, many criminals who got sentenced to death are now released and living in the country just like other people. There are reasons as to why capital punishment has not been used for years: some people believe that some innocent people can be executed instead of real assailants, criminals also have human rights, and criminals can be re-educated. However, even though criminals live in jails for years, there are many reports of some criminals committing the same crimes when they get released from jails. So, putting criminals in jails is not much help. Therefore, death penalty in South Korea should be used from now on for criminals who have repeatedly committed serious crimes, in order to protect possible victims, to give people awareness of the importance of observing the law, and to reduce taxes.
