My Big, Fat Greek wedding
What kind of wedding do you imagine for your wedding? I have been always dreaming the wedding at the park; also the day will be sunny. I am sure the wedding ceremony is one of the most important ceremonies in life. That’s the reason why I choose this movie. My movie is about the wedding between Greek and White who is not Greek. The name of this movie is ‘My big, fat Greek wedding.’ It was fun and great. In this movie, there are many cultural things. Therefore, I want to talk about some cultural things and few of other concepts; ethnicity, enculturation, culture, age, ethnocentrism, cultural sensitivity, disconfirming messages, collectivism, ethnorelativism.

Finally, we can find ‘Ethnorelativsm.’ It means that people recognizes that various cultures have different norms, values, and practices. In Toula and Ian’s wedding ceremony, Gus had a speech. In his speech, we can see the ethnorelativism. He found Ian’s last name also comes from Greek. In Greek, it means apple. In addition, Toula’s last name means orange in Greek. Apple and orange are different, but in the end, both of them are all fruit. Finally, he approved that they are different and it is not wrong. Also, there must be similar things.
