In their book, Manufacturing Consent, Noam Chomsky and Edward Herman put forth. The Manufacturing Consent Model, in which the media goes through five filters: beneficial & political judgment by a major company which has the media, benefit of advertiser, informational news of the government organizations, limitation of news through no-buy campaigns, and anticommunist ideology. If you examine the media closely, you can catch those five filters easily.
Even though Chomsky and Herman, Americans, established the Manufacturing Consent Model those five filters are easily found all over the world, including Korea.

Benefit of advertisement owner
Newspaper companies could earn money easily with advertisements growth. The other way, newspaper which does not run advertisements were disadvantageous. Because, the newspaper which run advertisements could be sold cheaply. So, the newspaper which does not run advertisements were could not win. As a result, advertisement owner affect to media which depend on the advertisements.

News has to pass those filters for releasing on the press. That means the news which is you have seen, is truth of limited part. Manufacturing consent is very easy in modern society. Chomsky and Herman`s book deal with manufacturing consent as a name of that book. The most important thing is "If the press do not a role, problems of society cannot be exposed.
