Three Elements to be Oriental Garden
Despite several distinctions, the design of Chinese and Japanese gardens is largely separated from that of European and other countries gardens. Both Chinese and Japanese garden designs traditionally are intended to depict the natural landscape of mountains and rivers. Therefore, the unique characteristic we can see in the garden is harmony with nature. Living in Los Angeles, I have seen several gardens carry the character. It was so impressive that some of the gardens, such as Descanso garden, Huntington Botanical garden, UCLA Hannah carter Japanese garden and Los Angeles county Arboretum were in harmony with other concrete structures and backgrounds.
