Osgood-Schlatter Disease
Painful adolescent self-limiting disorder of the tibial tuberosity owing to trauma.
No evidence of underlyng ischemic necrosis.
General Considerations
Males, more commonly; 11-15 years of age.
History of a single violent injury or repetitive flexion-extension movement.
Pain, swelling, tenderness over the tibial tubercle.
Clinical features
Partial disruption at the patellar ligament-tuberosity attachment, creating localized inflammatory change.
