North Korea
Today I`ll introduce to you about the “DPRK.” Do you know what the DPRK means? It is abbreviation of Democratic People`s Republic of Korea. This is conventional long form of North Korea. Nowadays We commonly called just North Korea.

I`m sure that everyone can guess where the North Korea located, northen half of Korean peninsula. Actually, Korea & North Korea are one nation, use same language(Korean) and have common history.
After failing in the Korean War in 1950s, we were separated into two countries, US-backed Republic of Korea and Soviet communism based North Korea. Still, North Korea is communist state one-man dictatorship. Founder president, Kim il-song died in 1994, after then, Kim`s son, Kim jong-il was officially designated. Kim il-song and his son Kim jong-il are glorified by the nation. Much of literature, popular music, theater and film are about two men.

Pyoung-yang is a capital of the North Korea. Pyong-yang is well-known for the food. You can eat delicious North Korean traditional food in there. Naeng-myeon is the most famous food, a dish of cold buckwheat noodles, some vegetables, an egg, and sometimes a couple pieces of meat with chilled broth. It is particularly popular in the summer.
