현대 한일어 3인칭 여성 대명사 ‘그녀’와 ‘彼女’ 연구 (A Study on the Third Person Female Pronouns “Kŭnyŏ” and “Kanojo” in Modern Korean and Japanese)

초록

이 논문은 한일 양국 어휘의 교섭 양상을 구명하려는 연구로 3인칭 여성 대명사 ‘그녀’와 ‘彼女’를 중심으로 그 출현과 정착 및 어휘적・기능적 특징에 대하여 살펴본 것이다.
‘그녀’와 ‘彼女’는 인구어의 유입과 번역의 필요성에 따라 남성과의 구분을 위해 고안되었다고 하는 사회적・문화적 배경과 복합어라고 하는 단어 형성 구조, 정착에 이르기까지 경합과 절충을 거친 정착까지의 양상에 이르기까지유사한 흔적이 적지 않은 가운데 본 논문에서는 일반 대중이 보다 정기적으로 친숙하게 접할 수 있었을 것이라고 판단되는 한일 양국 근대기 출판 매체 중 잡지에 착목하여 첫째, 한일 양언어에서 나타나는 ‘그녀’와 ‘彼女’의 시기별 출현 빈도, 둘째, ‘彼女’와 ‘그녀’의 정착 과정에 나타난 다양한 어휘적 경합 양상에 집중하여 보았다.
한국어의 ‘그녀’는 1920년부터 1942년까지 그 시기가 현대와 가장 근접하여 꾸준히 등장하는 가운데 ‘그녀자’와 ‘궐녀(厥女)’가 1930년대 중후반, ‘彼女(피녀)’와 ‘그녀’가 1940년대 및 그 이후까지 사용되며 현대로 이어졌을 가능성이큰 것으로 판단된다.
일본어에서의 ‘彼女(かのじょ)’는 1800년대부터 1920년대까지 총 17 타입의 振り仮名가 나타난 가운데 ‘かのじ よ’, ‘かのぢよ’, ‘カノヂヨ’ 등과 같은 四つ仮名 유형으로 1895년부터 총 1,718예로써 압도적으로 많았고, 이 중 ‘か のぢよ’가 1,713예로 대부분을 차지하고 있었다.

영어초록

This paper is a study to investigate some aspects of linguistic negotiations between Korean and Japanese languages. The study tried to explore the lexical its functional features centered on the 3rd person feminine pronouns “kŭnyŏ” and “kanojyo”.
The “kŭnyŏ” and “kanojyo” are coined words structure such as social, cultural background and compound words that were invented for division with men when importing and translating Indo-European languages, competition with various vocabulary Sharing common points on the linguistic background that led to. Among these circumstances, this paper focuses onprint media, especially magazines in the modern period which are judged to be closely contacted by the general public in a regular manner, appearing in the frequency of occurrence of “kŭnyŏ” and “kanojyo” I examined the state of competition with various vocabulary.
“Kŭnyŏ” in Korean showed a remarkable increase from 1920 to 1942, “kŭnyja” and “gwolnyŏ” in the middle and the latter half of the 1930s, “pinyŏ” and “kŭnyŏ” were used from the 1940s There is a possibility that it has reached the present.
“Kanojo” in Japanese showed 17 types of FURIGANA from the 1800s to the 1920s, but since 1895 YOTSUGANA such as “かのじよ”, “かのぢよ”, “カノヂヨ” etc. Types were overwhelmingly large, especially “か のぢよ” accounted for almost 1,713 cases.
