This paper compares the two local cultural festivals in Korea and Italy from a cultural psychological point of view. The conclusions are as follows: First, the lack of enthusiastic sensibility of Korean government officials led to the absence of collaboration with heads of local organizations, and it was difficult to overcome difficulties by coping with environmental variables in an complacent manner.
Second, it was not easy for Koreans to satirize political and social issues. There is quite a difference from European sentiment that values individual autonomy and creativity to criticize and ridicule rulers. Third, the pleasant atmosphere of the festival was created by the crowd, and it was hard to become a passionate festival with the passive and suppressed emotions of the residents. As they lost the essence of the festival and were only interested in economic matters, they lacked the wisdom and ability to create specialized cultural contents in each region through harmonious and active participation. Fourth, the Japanese occupation during the folk games are be regarded as an act of superstition of the traditional The pulse has ceased to beat us to ‘Traditionality’ in situations that are easy to create a festival highlights.
