초록

Common radiographic appearances of ossifying fibroma (OF) are well demarcated margin, radiolucent or mixed lesion. Because other fibro-osseous lesions show similar radiographic appearances as OF, we need to confirm the histopathologic finding for the accurate diagnosis. Lesions for the radiographic differential diagnosis with OF include fibrous dysplasia, focal cemento-osseous dysplasia. Other confusing lesions might be the mixed lesion such as calcifying odontogenic cyst, adenomatoid odontogenic tumor, calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor, and benign cementoblastoma. We report three cases of OF in posterior mandible with literatures review. These cases showed varying radiographic appearances of mixed lesion and need careful radiographic interpretations.
