초록

As a historical event in the Second World War, the authenticity of "Nanjing Massacre" is beyond doubt, but the narration of the fact of Nanjing Massacre can be endowed with the narrator's subjective feelings (including values, ideology and interpretation). How to record and express, and how to reproduce such a devastating human disaster, to many novelists, it is difficult to strike a balance between fact and explanation, fact and value. There seems to be a gap between the fictionality of novels and the aim of seeking the truth in history. However, it seems that Ha Jin undertakes the dual responsibility of a historian and a novelist: on one hand, he utilizes the novel as an approach to expose the complexity of the characters' psychology and emotions of daily life; on the other hand, he holds the precise attitude of a "historian", and focuses on a large number of historical materials, retells the history in a "recording" language style. How Harkin overlaps history and literature, how to sublimate history into literature, will be the focus of this paper. Based on Hayden White's theory of historical interpretation, and analysis author's identity value , the characters in the novel, narrative perspective characteristics, this paper attempts to illustrate the current significance of the historical narrative of Nanjing Requiem.
