쇼팽의 전주곡 Op. 28, No. 4에 나타난 장식음의 구조적 역할과 확장성 (A Structural Function and Expandability of Musical Ornaments in Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28, No. 4 in E minor)

초록

바로크 시대에 융성했던 장식음은 19세기 낭만주의 시대에 이르러 그 쓰임이 감소하는 대신 감정을 극대화하기 위한 표현 방법으로 사용되었다. 장식음 기호를 통해 연주자에게 일임했던 음악적 공간을 장식음의 기보를 통해 작곡가의 공간으로 자리매김하였다. 결국 낭만주의 음악에서 작곡가의 계획에 따라 기호와 기보를 통해 제시된 장식음은 음악 표면을 즉흥적으로 장식하는 역할을 넘어 악곡의 내적 구조와 연관된 구조적 구성체로 인식된다. 이를 증명하기 위하여 쇼팽의 전주곡 Op. 28, No. 4에 사용된 장식음을 기호로 표현된 장식음과 기보된 즉흥적 장식음으로 구분 짓고, 그 특성과 역할을 구조적 분석을 통해 밝힌다. 이를 통해 장식음과 기보된 장식음의 내적 구조와 악곡의 구조적 특징과의 연관성을 찾아 장식음의 내적 구조의 확장성을 고찰한다. 이를 통해 낭만주의 시대에 기호와 기보로 표현된 장식음의 중요성 인식과 이에 대한 새로운 이해, 그리고 지속적인 학문적 접근을 끌어내고자 한다.

영어초록

The use of musical ornaments that was prosperous in Baroque era was decreased, but it was used as expressional way to maximize emotion in the nineteenth century. Performer’s musical space made by improvising ornamentation on a given melodic line was changed into composer’s musical space which used writing grace notes on score by composers in Romanticism era changed.
As a result, in Romanticism music, not only the musical ornaments that were written as symbol and musical notation under the composer’s plan performed the role for decorating given music extemporally, but also they were recognized as structural elements that were related to the inner structure of music.
In order to prove it, the musical ornaments in Chopin’s Preludes Op. 28, No. 4 in E minor are classified as symbol and written musical notation and the musical features are revealed by analyzing their structure. Moreover, it find the relations between the structural features of the whole music and the musical ornaments and analyzes the features of the music ornaments which effect and expand to the inner structure of the music.
Through this study, in addition to understanding in new way, I'd like to emphasize recognition of the significant of the musical ornaments and a scholarly approach to the ornamentation in Romanticism era.
