The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of the birth weight on height and weight in adulthood in collegiate male and female students. A total of 825 subjects were divided into three groups by b irth w eight. low b irth w eight group w hose b irth w eight was less than 2 .5kg( 12 m ales and 16 females), normal birth weight group whose birth weight was between 2.5kg and 4.2kg(467 males and 297 females), and over birth weight group whose birth weight was more than 4.2kg (12 males and 10 females). The results of the ANOVA analysis by gender revealed that male students shows significant differences in height by groups but female students showed a significant difference in weight by groups in normal weight groups only. Second, a pearson’s correlation analysis of the study, it show that both male and female collegiate students has a relevance in height, weight and BMI in normal birth weight group only. However, depending on gender show in positive correlation for male and inverse correlation for female. Consequently, in male and female with normal birth weight were affects on height, weight, and BMI, it appears differently according to sex selective management is needed.
