교양소설로서『암야행로(暗夜行路)』읽기 ―‘다이쇼 교양주의’와의 관련성을 중심으로―

초록

志賀直哉は「大正教養主義」の影響を受けた作家で、『暗夜行路』にはその影響が強く確認される。教養小説の基本的な形式である「主観性の脱皮、外部との接触及び対決、社会との和解」という図式で構成されている。『暗夜行路』には旅行と助っ人による主観性の脱皮は確認されているが、「外部との接触及び対決」と「社会との和解」という過程で「社会」が欠けている。これが一般的な教養小説との違いであると言える。そのような理由で、主人公はアイロニーに対抗して、すべては「自身」に原因があるという自己省察を通じて、「大正教養主義」が標榜する人格的な人間に生まれ変わることになる。その意味で「暗夜行路」は「大正教養主義」の特徴をすべて網羅するテキストと見ることができる。

영어초록

Siga Naoya is a writer influenced by Taishō Culturism, and this influence is strongly confirmed in “Midnight Journey.” This novel consists of “subjectivity breakaway, contact and confrontation with the outside world, and reconciliation with society,” the basic forms of liberal arts novels. In this novel, the escape of subjectivity through travel and help is confirmed, but society was omitted in “contact and confrontation with the outside” and “reconciliation with society.” This can be said to be different from a Bildungsroman, and for this reason, the protagonist self-reflects by saying that everything is caused by “me.” Subsequently, he is reborn as a human being advocated by Taishō Culturism, and in this sense, the text can be seen as encompassing the characteristics and limitations of Taishō Culturism.
