초록

현대의 교육은 점점 추상화되어 가고 있다. 인간에 대해 추상적으로 배우고 생명을 추상적으로 이해하며, 정작 자신을 둘러싼 타인들이나 생명 세계와 섬세하게 대화하는 일은 소홀히 여기는 경향이 크다. 그런데 이러한 교육 활동 매개물의 추상화는 나아가 인간의 자기 자신과의 관계마저 추상화하게 한다. 이 연구는 이러한 문제의식 속에서 구체의 과학으로서 교육인문학을 제안하였다. 우리의 일상은 늘 구체성을 통한 앎의 과정 위에 있으며, 따라서 세계와 자신에 대한 꼼꼼한 통찰을 통해 생태적 자아로서 실존적 인식을 가지고 교육의 인간중심성을 벗어나야 한다. 구체의 과학으로서 교육인문학은 이런 입장에서 인간뿐만 아니라 다른 다양한 생물 개체들의 세계에 대한 감응(感應)에도 귀 기울일 것을 요구한다. 따라서 자기와 세계에 대한 차이보다는 사이를 존중하는 인문학적 행동으로서 교육은 우리의 일상에 새로운 생태미학적 지평을 제시할 것이다.

영어초록

Modern education is increasingly becoming abstract. People highly tend to neglect delicate communication with others or the world of life surrounding them even as they learn about human beings and understand life in abstract ways. As these media of educational activities become abstract, people will further make relations with themselves abstract. Based on this problematic consciousness, this study proposed humanistic education as the science of the concrete. Our daily lives are always in the process of getting knowledge through concreteness, and there is a need to grow out of human-centeredness in education based on existential awareness as an ecological self through careful insights into the world and oneself. As the science of the concrete, humanistic education demands that people should listen to the responsiveness of various living entities in addition to human beings to the world in this viewpoint. As a humanistic act to respect relations rather than differences between oneself and the world, education will propose a new horizon of ecological aesthetics for our daily lives.
