This study examined aged women in Germany who have had femur surgeries to discuss how eight weeks of riding a bicycle influence their balance to provide important basic resources for the development of an appropriate bicycle exercise program after femur surgery. 1. In ‘standing on one foot with eyes opened’ category,significant improvement in time was observed only with the bicycle exercise group on the left foot and significant difference between groups was observed after eight weeks. For the right foot, significant improvement in time was observed with both groups, along with significant difference between groups. 2. In ‘standing on both feet with eyes closed’ category, significant improvement in time was observed only with the bicycle exercise group. Also, significant difference between groups was observed after eight weeks. 3. In ‘sitting and standing five times’ category, significant improvement in time was observed only with the bicycle exercise group and significant difference between groups was observed after eight weeks. 4. In ‘standing after 30 seconds of sitting’category, significant improvement in time was observed only with the bicycle exercise group. Strangely, significant difference between groups was witnessed before the exercise. 5. In ‘6-minute walking’ category, significant improvement in time was observed only with the bicycle exercise group and significant difference between groups was observed after eight weeks.
