아스퍼거 장애 아동과 ADHD 아동의 인지적 특성 비교: 지능과 실행기능을 중심으로 (Comparing Cognitive Characteristics of Children with ADHD and Children with Asperger’s Syndrome: Focusing on Intelligence and Executive Functions)

초록

본 연구는 아스퍼거 장애 아동, ADHD 아동 및 일반 아동의 인지적 특성을 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 임상심리사에 의해 선별된 아스퍼거 장애 아동 18명과 ADHD 아동 18명 및 일반 아동 18명으로 생활 연령이 10∼15세 해당하는 남아로 선정되었다. 본 연구에서는 집단별 지능 특성을 알아보기 위해 한국 웩슬러 아동용 지능 검사-4판(K-WISC-Ⅳ)을 사용하였고, 실행기능의 특성을 알아보기 위해 아동용 Kims 전두엽-관리기능 검사를 사용하였다. 연구의 검증은 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 SPSS프로그램(Ver. 18.0)을 이용하여 일원배치분산분석(One-Way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 아스퍼거 장애 아동과 ADHD 아동 및 일반 아동의 K-WISC-Ⅳ 전체검사 IQ(FSIQ)는 평균 수준으로 통계적 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 아스퍼거 장애 아동과 ADHD 아동은 일반 아동에 비해 실행지능(EIQ)은 경계선 수준으로 낮은 수행을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 제한점과 후속연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference in cognitive characteristics among normal children, children with ADHD and children with Asperger’s Syndrome. The subject was 18 children with Asperger’s syndrome, 18 children with ADHD and 18 normal children whose chronological ages are between 10 and 15 and they were selected by clinical psychologist. K-WISC-IV was used to find out the intelligent characteristics for each group and Kims Frontal Executive Neuropsychological Test for Children was used to find out the characteristics of executive function. For verification of research, One-Way ANOVA was used through SPSS program (Ver. 18.0) to see if there was any meaningful difference among groups. The research resulted as followings: First, there was no statistical difference among each group of children with Asperger’s Syndrome, children with ADHD and normal children on the overall examination of IQ (FSIQ) of K-WISC-IC and they all had values of average level. Second, children with Asperger’s Syndrome and children with ADHD showed low performance on EIQ, which almost reached border line. Accordingly the limitations of this study and proposals for further study are discussed.
