초록

Korean Independent documentary has the tradition of the activism that reveal the dark side of the modernization and reform the society. But the social change of the new media environment require the change of independent documentary. The change of independent documentary reflects the characteristics of post cinema. The performative narrative based on the reflective retrospection of the author, the free form that enables to express the retrospection and the new historicity are these characteristics.
Two documentaries that ＜2 Doors＞ and ＜The Remnants＞ that devoted to Yongsan Disarster show this change of Korean independent documentary. These two documentaries follow the tradition of the activism and show the characteristics of post cinema at the same time. ＜2 Doors＞ compiles the found footage and make it the court of history. ＜The Remnants＞ follows the daily life of the victims and records their memories. Doing this, ＜the Remnants＞ can obtain the new historicity. These two documentaries shows the evolution of Korean independent documentary figuratively.
