전통 노리개를 응용한 패션 액세서리 디자인 개발 (The Design Development of Fashion Accessory Applying Korean Traditional Norigae)

초록

본 연구는 우리 민족의 정서와 미의식을 조명하고 실용적인 소재와 디자인으로 전통미를 현대에 맞게 재구성하여 패션 액세서리로 재해석함으로서 우리 고유의 전통미와 함께 현대적 감각을 살린 패션 액세서리를 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 방법 및 범위는 먼저 전통 노리개의 개념과 형태 및 종류에 대한 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 디자인 콘셉트, 아이디어 스케치, 컬러 및 소재를 선정하여 전통 장신구의 소재로 널리 사용되었던 괴불을 응용한 1단 1점, 3단 2점, 5단 1점의 패션액세서리 디자인 총 4점을 개발하였다.
1단 괴불장식 액세서리는 주로 어린이들의 의복이나 가방 또는 기타 장식 용도로 제작하였다. 모시 바탕에 면사로 수를 놓았고, 컬러는 흰색바탕에 선명한 비비드 톤을 위주로 하고 금색 스팽글로 장식하였다. 끈 장식은 청홍색의 옥사를 접어서 시침질로 마무리 하였다.
3단 괴불장식 액세서리는 주로 드레스 등에 포인트를 주는 용도로 제작하였다. 모시 바탕에 면사로 수를 놓았고 컬러는 흰색바탕에 밝은 페일 톤 위주로 하고 금색 스팽글로 장식하였다. 끈 장식은 밝은 유황색의 옥사를 접어 감침질로 마무리 하였다.
5단 괴불장식 액세서리는 주로 특별한 날의 화려한 장식을 위해 제작하였다. 모시 바탕에 면사로 수를 놓았고 컬러는 선명한 비비드 톤과 어두운 딥 톤을 섞어서 중후하면서도 화려한 이미지를 나타내고자 하였다. 금색 스팽글로 장식하고 끈은 4가지 컬러의 옥사을 연결하여 감침질로 마무리 하였다.
현대의 노리개는 조선시대 노리개를 단순히 모방한 것이 대부분이지만 다양하고 새로운 것을 요구하는 현대사회에서 전통의 미를 현대적으로 재해석한 액세서리를 제안할 수 있었다는데 연구의 의의가 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to light on the emotion and aesthetic consciousness of Korean and to propose the fashion accessories that have both Korean traditional beauty and modern sense of fashion by reinterpreting fashion accessories through reconstitution of the Korean traditional beauty which is fit to the modern sense with practical material and design. The method and the range of this study is to consider the theoretical background on the concept, forms and kinds of norigae, to set up the design concept, to do the job of idea sketch and to decide the colors and materials and then to develop 4 kinds of fashion accessory designs -a piece of 1 bundle, two pieces of 3 bundles and a piece of 5 bundles- applying Goebul which was widely used as a material of traditional fashion accessories.
In the case of 1 bundle Goebul-decorated accessory, it is made for children's clothes, bags and other kinds of decoration. It is embroidered with cotton yarn on ramie fabric and it has vivid colors on white ground and is decorated with gold spangles. The strap decoration is basted with folded indigo and red silk.
In the case of 3 bundles Goebul-decorated accessory, it is made for highlight on dresses. It is embroidered with cotton yarn on ramie fabric and it has bright pale colors on white ground and is decorated with gold spangles. The strap decoration is hemmed with folded bright beige silk.
In the case of 5 bundles Goebul-decorated accessory, it is made for showy decoration to be used on special days. It is embroidered with cotton yarn on ramie fabric and it gives fancy and stately images with the mixture of vivid colors and deep colors. It is decorated with gold spangles. The strap decoration is hemmed with connected 4 colors of silk.
Most of the modern norigaes are simply imitated from those of Joseon Dynasty. Thus the meaning of this study is to propose accessories that are the outcomes of reinterpreting the Korean traditional beauty from modern sense.
