초록

본 연구는 전남동부연안권 및 섬진강유역권의 역사문화정보시스템 구축과 관련한 선행연구로써 역사문화유적 분포특성의 시각화 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 해당 분야별 현지조사를 통해 취득한 공간데이터, 즉 경위도 좌표값, 영상자료, 인터뷰 등의 자료를 취합하였다. 또한 분류항목 코드를 바탕으로 작성된 속성데이터를 주요항목으로 설정하였다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 급속히 인멸되어가는 지역의 향토문화자료 수집을 통해 역사문화관련 속성을 집대성한 전자지도를 제작함으로써, 학제간 융·복합 연구를 위한 대상권역의 입체화 및 시각화에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 역사문화지도 제작은 역사문화정보시스템 구축을 전제로 한다. 특히 역사문화지도 제작에 필요한 다양하고 심층적인 자료의 확보를 통하여 대상지역의 특징에 관한 전문적인 연구를 수행할 수 있는 기초 도구로써의 역할도 겸하고 있다. 결과적으로 한국사의 전개 과정에 있어서 섬진강유역권의 역사적 위상과 역할, 나아가 심층적인 후속연구가 이루어질 수 있는 공간분석 자료로써의 활용 가능성에 그 의의를 두고 있다.

영어초록

This study was designed to propose a basic framework for distribution characteristics of historical and cultural relics with an aim of contributing towards building a historical-cultural information system of the Jeonnam east coast and the Seomjin river area. To achieve this end, primary spatial data including geographic coordinate values, visual materials, and structured interviews were collected through field visits to the study area and other means. In addition, characteristics data prepared using classification codes were recorded as a key component. This study design with emphasis on conformation and visualization is considered appropriate in light of the urgent needs for conserving indigenous cultural heritage in its entirety which is increasingly threatened with extinction and the needs for an interdisciplinary convergence in developing an electronic map encompassing a range of characteristics relevant to historical and cultural elements. In particular, in that creating a historical and cultural map is critical part of the build-up of a comprehensive historical and cultural information system, the wealth of in-depth relevant data collected in this study will serve as a strong motivator for more specific, further research on the features of the study area. Consequently, it is hoped and expected that the product of this study will be used as a spatial analysis aid in deepening the study of the historical position and role of Seomjin river area in the development of the korean history.
