청소년의 사회갈등 인식이 생활만족에 미치는 영향 - 지역사회소속감의 조절효과 (The influences of adolescents’ perceptions of social conflict on life satisfaction : The moderating effects of community belongingness)

초록

본 연구는 청소년의 사회갈등인식, 지역사회소속감과 생활만족의 관계를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 전라남도의 고등학생을 대상으로 2014년 4월부터 6월까지 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 2,447부의 응답지를 분석에 사용하였다. 분석방법은 SPSS 22.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석과 상관관계를 분석하였으며, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 사회갈등인식과 생활만족의 관계에서 지역사회소속감의 조절효과를 분석하였다.
연구결과 사회갈등인식은 생활만족에 영향을 미치며 지역사회소속감의 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 지역사회소속감이 낮은 경우 사회갈등인식이 생활만족에 부정적 영향을 더 크게 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 지역사회소속감을 증진시킴으로써 사회갈등인식이 생활만족을 저해시키는 영향력을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 이러한 노력이 학교사회복지사와 교사 등 학교와 지역사회에서 필요하고 사회적으로는 소득불평등을 완화시키기 위한 노력이 요구됨을 제안하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to research the relations among the perceptions of social conflict, community belongingness and life satisfaction of high school students. As part of the study, high school students in Jeollamdo province were surveyed from April to June 2014 and 2,447 responses were analyzed. In order to analyze the data of the study, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis was used by SPSS 22.0. The results showed that the perception of social conflict had effects on life satisfaction while community belongingness moderated the effect of perceptions of social conflict on life satisfaction.
A low sense of belonging, indicates a greater struggle between life satisfaction and perception of social conflict. Consequently, by promoting community belongingness, we can reduce the influence of the relation between life satisfaction and perception of social conflict. Thus, the importance of community belongingness should be recognized by social workers and educators, in order to increase student’s life satisfaction. Additionally, efforts need to be made in order to diminish inequality of income.
