재개념화된 성취목표와 심리적 안녕감의 관계 (The Relation Between Re-conceptualized Achievement Goal and Psychological Well-being)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 성취목표이론의 확장으로 학업적 성취목표와 사회적 성취목표로 분화되어 재개념화된 성취목표와 심리적 안녕감의 관계를 검증하여 어떠한 목표유형이 심리적 안녕감을 높이는데 긍정적인 역할을 하는지 분석하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 서울과 경기 지역에 분포한 2개의 대학 221명의 대학생을 대상으로 사회적 및 학업적 성취목표와 심리적 안녕감을 측정하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 재개념화된 성취목표의 내적구조가 대학생집단에게도 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 숙달목표와 학업적 숙달, 수행접근 목표와 심리적 안녕감의 관계는 정적상관을 보이는 반면에, 사회적 수행회피, 학업적 수행회피 목표는 심리적 안녕감의 모든 하위변인과 통계적으로 유의한 부적상관이 나타났다. 또한, 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 주는 요인을 규명하기 위한 회귀분석 결과, 사회적 숙달목표와 학업적 숙달, 학업적 수행접근 목표가 심리적 안녕감에 정적인 영향을 미치는 반면에 사회적 수행회피와 학업적 수행회피 목표는 부적으로 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 다중목표의 관점으로 학업적 숙달과 학업적 수행접근 목표와 함께 사회적 숙달과 사회적 수행접근 목표를 모두 추구하는 학생이 심리적 안녕감이 더 높다는 결과가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학업적 성취목표와 함께 사회적 성취목표도 대학생의 심리적 안녕감을 형성하는데 중요한 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 확인하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relations between re-conceptualized achievement goal and psychological well-being of college student. For this research, 221 college students made up a questionnaire of academic achievement goal, social achievement goal and psychological well-being.
Study results were as follows; First, The structural model of the achievement goal theory according to re-conceptualization was the goodness of fit. Second, The correlation between social mastery goal, academic mastery goal, academic performance-approach goal and psychological well-being were positive. however, social performance-avoidance goal and academic performance-avoidance goal were related with psychological well-being negatively. Third, the regression analysis, social mastery goal, academic mastery goal, academic performance-approach goal were positive influential variables to psychological well-being. Also, social performance-avoidance goal and academic performance-avoidance goal were negative influential variables to psychological well-being. Third, this study revealed that it was more benefit to have not only academic mastery goal, academic performance-approach goal but also social mastery and performance-approach goal.
This study has contribution to analysis re-conceptualized achievement goal theory including social achievement gaol. Also, this study has educational implication to consider the achievement goal type and enhance psychological well-being in college students.
