초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of chemical substances emission according to the surface treatment
method and base materials of furniture. The test was carried out at 8 units which were different compositions of base materials
and surface treatment methods which were supplied for the furniture. TVOC(Total Volatile organic compounds) and
HCHO(formaldehyde) were sampled and analyzed by GC/MS and HPLC. The results of this study were as follows; 1) TVOC
emission was concerned with E0 or E1 grade of base materials, surface treatment method and a storage period. 2) HCHO
emission was concerned with surface treatment method such as the used of absorbent materials. 3) HCHO concentrations with
the LPM and painting type were lower than wrapping type in the surface treatment method.
