The purpose of this study was to analysis of lower extremities function between ballet dancers and non ballet dancers. For this reasons, fifty female ballet dancers(BG) and fifty normal females(NG) were participated voluntarily. The results as follows; External rotation ROM and full ROM of both side of hip joint were significantly larger in BG compared to NG. Dorsi flexion ROM of left ankle, plantar flexion ROM and full ROM of both side of ankle were significantly larger in BG compared to NG. IMRW of both side of knee extensor and flexor at 60°/sec angular velocity and IMRW of both side of knee extensor at 180°/sec angular velocity were significantly higher in BG compared to NG. IMRW of both side of plantar flexor and dorsi flexor at 60°/sec and 120°/sec angular velocity were significantly higher in BG compared to NG. Sargent jump and distance of hopping test of both side were significantly longer in BG compared to NG. In analysis of the results of this study, it is thought that regular ballet dance in training of the female ballet dancers has an effect of the improvement of lower extremity function comparing with non-participation female.
