초록

본 연구는 특수교육지원센터에서 담당하고 있는 보조공학 지원 서비스의 운영 현황과 특수교육 현장에
서 이러한 보조공학 서비스가 원활히 이루어지기 위해서는 보조공학 기기와 관련서비스의 제공을 담당하
는 특수교육지원센터의 기능과 역할에 대한 요구를 알아보기 위해 139개 특수교육지원센터에 있는 보조
공학 지원 업무담당자를 대상으로 조사하였다. 현재 특수교육지원센터의 보조공학 지원 서비스 역할이
매우 제한적이며, 보조공학 담당자들의 전문성 확보와 별도의 보조공학 지원 예산과 계획이 잘 이루어지
지 않고 있었다. 보조공학 지원 서비스 업무요소를 알아보기 위해 11개 특수교육지원센터 홈페이지와 운
영계획을 조사하였다. 각 특수교육지원센터에서는 보조공학 서비스를 제공하기 위해 보조공학 홍보 및
요구파악, 학생정보수립 및 기초진단, 기기 선정 및 적용, 활용 평가 및 기기 관리의 대여업무 중심으로
이루어지고 있었으나 보다 체계적인 특수교육지원센터 지원 서비스 모형의 현장 적용을 통한 지속적인
모형의 수정과 개선 방향을 모색하여야 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of special education
support center’s assistive technology support service. And identifying the demand for
special education support center’s assistive technology support service. In order to
accomplish the study’s purpose, the research was conducted by the following method.
The result is as follows:
Above all, the survey target was one personnel from each of the 201 special education
support center. However, as a result of leaving out 62 centers whose personnels refused
to respond or had no experience in the field, 139 centers remained as targets. Result
of the survey concluded that special education support center’s assistive technology
support service is highly limited. The professionalism of personnel was not secured
and there were not enough plan and budget to the service.
And, in order to recognize the factors of assistive technology support service,
websites and operating plans in four special education support centers in metropolitan
area, three in small and medium-sized cities, and three in rural area were researched.
Each special education support center centered around rental service promoting assistive
technology, acknowledging the needs in assistive technology, student information gathering,
student diagnosis, selecting and applying matching equipment, service evaluation and
equipment maintenance management.
