초록

본 연구는 도덕교육에서 종교 영역의 역할과 위상에 관한 물음에서 출발한다. 종교의 순기능은 도덕교육에 시사하는 바가 크지만 종교가 지닌 역기능은 도덕교육과의 관계에서 해결해야 할 난점이다. 도덕신학의 정초는 도덕교육의 내실화를 위한 종교 영역의 논의에서 요청된다고 할 수 있다. 도덕신학은 도덕의 관점에서 초감성적인 존재(신)의 문제를 이성의 한계 내에서 논의한다. 소크라테스의 도덕신학이 신의 명령과 반성적 사유를 결합하고 있다면, 칸트의 도덕신학은 도덕의 완성, 즉 도덕성과 행복의 일치를 위해 영혼불멸과 신의 현존을 요청한다. 도덕신학은 종교 영역의 확신을 인식론적 차원이 아니라 실천이성의 믿음의 차원에서 다루며, 열린 대화와 다양한 신앙의 공존을 위한 근거를 제시한다. 아울러 도덕신학은 도덕과 개정교육과정(2007)의 내용체계 중 도덕적 주체와 자연․초월적 존재와의 관계를 다루거나 종교 관련 내용을 집필할 때, 종교 간 갈등 문제나 종교 간 관용 및 대화․협력, 건전한 종교의 기준을 위한 이론적 근거를 마련하는 데 일정한 기여를 할 것으로 전망한다.

영어초록

This study started from the question about the function and place of religious contents in moral education. Although the positive functions of religion give such a significance to moral education, there is a big problem by negative functions of religion. In this context, it is requested to found moral theology with a view to raising the effect of moral education through religion-related subjects. Moral theology refers to supernatural beings such as God within the limit of reason in moral perspective. Just as Socrates' moral theology has the unity of divine command and reflective thinking, so Kant's postulates the immortality of the soul as well as the existence of God in order to pursue the highest good which can be represented not only as perfect virtue, but also as happiness proportional virtue. Moral theology is a kind of belief based on practical reason, not on theoretical reason. And it can pave the way to open dialogue and symbiosis between the believers of various faiths. Moral theology is able to play a significant role in dealing with the relationship between the supernatural and me or in writing religion-related contents of moral textbook in the revision of 7th moral education curriculum (2007). Especially, it can be useful not only for solving religious conflicts or presenting the ground of tolerance & cooperation between religions, but also for establishing the standard of sound religion.
