‘boxPI’ is a new term created by combining the words ‘Box’ and ‘KOSPI’. According to the Naver Knowledge Encyclopedia, it is referred as when KOSPI indexes do not rise above a certain level even if the stock prices rise or fall below a certain level ("boxPI", 2015). Historically, KOSPI has fluctuated from 2000 to 2500 for over ten years, and now it is showing its escape from the box by quantitative easing.
