These days, the lots of service industries such as tourism and hospitality consider globalization that is the biggest issue and are impacted from globalization within the various parts in the service industry. Globalization has the five characteristics such as internationalization, liberalization, universalization, westernization and deterritorialization (Scholte, 2002). Globalization leads the tourism and hospitality industry to expand in the world. For example, lots of tourism and hospitality products and services with both tangible and intangible characteristics are offered from the tourism and hospitality industry and customers can access them globally. Thus globalization is the biggest issue in the tourism and hospitality. Furthermore Mace (1995) agrees that the hotel industry is considered to be one of most globalized service sector. In fact, globalization impacts on many parts of the hotel industry such as marketing, sales, and information and communication technologies. Even though there are some key influences that lead the global market in the hotel industry. There are some potential barriers to develop and expand the hotel industry worldwide. This essay discusses the impact of globalization on the international hotel industry and explains key influences that have led to the adaptation of globalization with in the global market perspective. In addition, this paper presents some obstacles that interrupt the global hotel industry and suggest how to address these potential barriers.참고 자료
