* Nissin Chicken Ramen (↓) : The first instant noodle. Seasoned directly to the noodle and requires 2 min to prepare with water only.
The very first instant noodle was invented in Japan. Japan at the moment, was in a miserable condition after being defeated in The World WarⅡ(1950s). Due to the lack of food, people in the Japan were relying on the wheat flour from the US. As their diet was based on rice, eating bread was far from satisfaction. Momofuku Ando, who invented the instant noodle, was in a bar. He wanted to develop a new food that can be consumed more pleasedly, using wheat flour. A cook was preparing foods to serve. When a denzura was put in a frying pot, water in the denzura quickly evaporated. He was inspired by looking at the cook frying denzura and thought. ‘If noodle was fried in oil, it would be dry and able to preserve long!’ After repeating many experiments and research, he succeeded in commercializig instant noodle(1958).
